At Best Expressions Photography, we employ the medium of digital photography. In this technologically advanced age, digital photography has rivaled - even surpassed - traditional film photography. It has been our experience that this medium has quickly become the preferred method for many reasons.
Without compromising on quality, the end result is not only superior, but also a fraction of the cost of traditional film photography. We do not incur the cost of film and its processing. This results in a cost savings to our clients.
Many couples have shown an interest in both Black-and-White photography as well as Classic or "Antique" style photography. You may be familiar with photos of family members from generations past that have "aged" with time - they have taken on a brownish tint to them. Technically, this "aged" look is known as Sepia. All of your photos will be taken digitally, in color. Any one of these can be digitally converted to either a Black-and-White print or a Sepia print, or both. Tones, textures and exposures can all be controlled to produce the best results. Also, enhancements, such as cropping and framing of your photos, is handled photo by photo, digitally. Very simply, with traditional film photography, you would not have the benefits of these techniques and options without encurring an extraordinary and very prohibitive cost.
Without having to lug around several cameras or accessories simultaneously, along with many rolls of film, the wedding party and family portraits will take less time to complete. You will also save on the cost of an assistant often employed to help ease the strain associated with the need for a photographer to use the multiple cameras and many rolls of film necessary to accomplish the Black-and-White film photogrpahy.
